Fostering Young Minds
Last December 02, 2022, the TLE-STEP Club held an event named EstudyaNTREPRENEUR
2022 with the theme: "Likas na Talento at Kasanayan:
Tugon sa Katatagan at Pagharap sa Hamon ng Bagong Normal." As
part of the celebration, the club put up a bazaar with booths run by students.
These booths included the ICT booth, dress-making booth, and stands that sold a
wide selection of food. But one, in particular, caught my eye, the Virtual Tour
Guiding booth. The stand sold the usual items seen in Vigan's tourist spots:
bags, hand fans, bracelets, and many more (I even purchased a bracelet from the
booth as memorabilia for the event).
The bazaar
taught students about entrepreneurship and how to start and run a business.
They could identify a product or service to sell, develop a business plan,
manage finances, and market their products or services. It was a great platform
for students with different interests to showcase their skills and passion for
crafting to a wider audience, and it gave them a chance to receive feedback and
support from their peers and the community. Also, the event provided valuable
real-world experience because it allowed individuals to apply what they've
learned in a practical setting. They could put their skills into action,
whether communicating with their team, organizing events, marketing their products,
or interacting with customers. Overall, it was a great opportunity that allowed
students to learn and grow in a supportive, collaborative environment. The
hands-on experience gained from participating in the bazaar can help one build
confidence and prepare for future endeavors, whether in one's personal or
professional life.
In conclusion, the
EstudyaNTREPRENEUR 2022 provided a unique learning experience beyond the
classroom. It was an enriching and empowering experience that helped students
develop self-awareness, self-motivation, and self-management skills. They could
reflect on their strengths and weaknesses, set personal and professional goals,
and take action to achieve them. It can be said that it was a fun and rewarding
experience that brought students together and fostered a sense of community and
belonging.
